General.  The NCMBC and the North Carolina Military Foundation (NCMF) will co-host the 2008 NC MILCON Summit at the Durham Marriott Convention Center on November 19, 2008. 

Purpose.  The purpose of the event is to connect government officials with prime and specialty contractors, designers and construction suppliers in North Carolina.  Businesses in North Carolina will develop contacts and information critical to leveraging $5-7 billion in MILCON opportunities in North Carolina by 2013.

Cost.  Registration for the MILCON Summit is $70.00 per person; admission charge will cover the cost of facility, meals, snacks and materials.

Cancellation Policy.  If the need to cancel occurs, please notify NCMBC at both Lydia Joglar (joglarl@ncmbc.us) and Courtney Smedick (smedickc@ncmbc.us) prior to November 5, 2008 for a full refund.

• Refunds will not be provided to those who cancel after 5 November.

• Refunds will not be provided for "No Shows" the day of the event.

Directions.  The Durham Marriott Convention Center is in downtown Durham, NC.  Parking is available in the parking garage adjacent to the Convention Center.  Parking in the parking garage the day of the MILCON Summit is $6.00 per vehicle.  For directions, click here.

Hotel.  The Durham Marriot Convention Center is providing a block of 30 rooms at a discounted rate of $97.00 per night ($109 with taxes) for participants in the 2008 MILCON Summit.
