General.  The North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) and the North Carolina Military Foundation (Foundation) will co-host the 2009 North Carolina Military Construction (MILCON) Summit at the Joseph S. Koury Convention Center on October 27, 2009.   

Purpose.  The purpose of the event is to connect government officials with prime and specialty contractors, designers and construction suppliers in North Carolina.  Businesses in North Carolina will develop contacts and information critical to leveraging $5-7 billion in MILCON opportunities in North Carolina by 2013.

Attendee Cost**Attendee Space is no longer available, if you would like to attend the MILCON Summit; please email milconsummit09@ncmbc.us to be added to the wait list in case space becomes available for the Summit. In your email please include the following:

If space becomes available, those on the wait list will be notified by the provided attendee email address as soon as possible**

$90.00 per person admission charge will cover the cost of facility, light breakfast, buffet lunch and materials.  Companies may register up to 2 attendees. Companies may register additional attendees under pre-approved circumstances, including participation on panels and speed networking in addition to Summit attendance. The NCMBC will maintain a waiting list when attendee space is sold out. 

The MILCON Summit is intended for NC companies. However, out-of-state companies may attend on a space available basis as approved by NCMBC and the Foundation. Email milconsummit09@ncmbc.us for more information before registering your out-of-state company.

Table-Top Booth Display Vendors**Booth Space is no longer available, if you would like to attend the MILCON Summit, please register as an attendee, see above. A wait list is available for those who are interested in booth space; in the event that space becomes available** A limited number of booth spaces will be available at the rate of $275.00 per booth. Booths are available on a first come, first served basis. The NCMBC will maintain a waiting list when booth space is sold out.  This booth rate includes a table-top booth display (8 foot table), chairs, table skirting, electricity and an admission for 2 individuals.

Cancellation Policy.  If the need to cancel occurs, please notify NCMBC at MILCONSummit09@ncmbc.us prior to

October 6, 2009 for a full refund. Refunds will not be provided to those who cancel after close of businesses on October 6, 2009. Refunds will not be provided for "No Shows" the day of the event.

Sponsorship.  Companies or organizations interested in financially sponsoring portions of the Summit should contact the finance committee at 919-828-1322 or email waustin@ncmilitary.org.

Registration.  Open, on-line registration began on August 24, 2009. Participation in the MILCON Summit is limited; registration will close on October 6th, however, if the MILCON Summit reaches full capacity, the event will close before the October 6th deadline. Please register as soon as possible to ensure your company’s attendance at the Summit. Once registration has closed, a wait list will be available.

Hotel Rooms. A limited block of MILCON Summit rooms will be available at the Sheraton Greensboro Hotel at Four Seasons (attached to the Koury Center) for the rate of $122.00 plus tax for participants.

Directions.  The Joseph S. Koury Convention Center is located at exit 217 on Business I-40. For directions click http://www.sheratongreensboro.com/directions.shtml. Parking is available at no charge at the Convention Center.
