PARKING. Parking
is available at the Wilmington Convention Center (515 Nutt Street,
Wilmington, NC 28401) for the rate of $2.00 for the 1st hour, and $1.00
for subsequent hours to the maximum of $8.00 per up to 24 hours.
PURPOSE. The “FEDCON Summit” will bring together over 800 representatives of the Corps of
Engineers, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, United States Coast
Guard, Department of Veterans Affairs, GSA Public Buildings Service,
other federal agencies and installations, general and specialty
contractors, designers and construction suppliers in North Carolina.
WHY ATTEND THE FEDCON SUMMIT?
- The FEDCON Summit is the premier,
best-established and most-recognized federal construction event in
North Carolina – businesses who are already engaged or want to perform
in the federal market need to be there!
- Installation and agency “Program and Issues
Dialogue” sessions will address future projects, acquisition strategies
and issues related to procurement and execution of projects at
military bases and facilities in NC and SC
- Other Summit sessions will address critical and
timely topics, including small business programs and utilization,
budget impacts, contracting processes and pre-award, post-award and
legal issues in federal construction and engineering contracting
- Summit “speed networking” sessions allow
businesses to meet one-on-one and market themselves to representatives
of every federal agency that procures construction- and
engineering-related services in NC and SC, including DoD, US Coast
Guard, VA, GSA Public Buildings Service, etc.
- Summit networking and trade show activities allow
businesses to market their services and products to over 700 general
contractors, specialty contractors, engineers, architects and suppliers
- In addition to the Summit on October 11,
networking opportunities with all FEDCON attendees include a pre-Summit
social on October 10, riverside adjacent to the Wilmington Convention
Center – a huge hit in 2011!

Construction
Risk Services will be held on the Event Lawn directly behind the
Wilmington
Convention Center (515 Nutt Street, Wilmington, NC 28401) from 6:00 -
8:00 pm.
All Summit attendees are welcome to attend the social. There is no fee
for
Summit attendees to participate in the reception, the cost was built
into your
overall Summit fee. In the event of inclement weather, the social will
be held inside of the Wilmington Convention Center. Please note: The
event lawn is a grassy area, please plan to wear appropriate footwear.
GOLF TOURNAMENT.
The SAME Cape Fear Post will host a golf tournament in conjunction with
the FEDCON Summit on October 10, 2012. For more information, click here.
SUMMIT PROGRAM.
The Summit program will focus on new federal construction,
sustainment, restoration and modernization (SRM) and energy-related
construction opportunities and federal contracting processes in North
Carolina. The program will include presentations, panel discussions,
breakout sessions, a vendor expo and speed networking with:
- Naval Facilities Engineering Command
- US Army Corps of Engineers
- Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard and National Guard Installations
- Department of Veterans Affairs and Other Federal Agencies
- Major Construction Prime Contractors
- North Carolina Companies
ATTENDANCE. Attendance is encouraged for:
- General and specialty contractors in North Carolina
- Design firms in North Carolina
- Construction Supply Firms in North Carolina
- Current federal primes seeking North Carolina partners and suppliers
REGISTRATION. Registration
is now open for attendees and exhibitors. Please note exhibitor spaces
will sell quickly and are on a first come, first served basis.

Attendee registration
includes the reception held on October 10th and a full program, light breakfast, buffet lunch,
beverages/snacks throughout the day, access to the exhibitor expo and
event materials on October 11th.

Please note: Walk-in registrations will be accepted on October 11, 2012 in the
designated walk-in registration line. Walk-in registrations and payment
will be accepted by check made payable to "Fayetteville Technical
Community College" or Visa, MasterCard payment. Please arrive early,
walk-in registration may have a long line. The quickest method to
register is by check and an attached business card.

Exhibitor registration includes the reception held on October 10th and a
table-top exhibitor display (see below for more information), plus
admission for two (2) to the Symposium which includes a full program, light breakfast, buffet lunch, beverages/snacks throughout the day and event materials.

Additional Attendees. If your organization would like

Exhibitor Set-Up. Early exhibitor set-up will be available
on October 10th from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Exhibitor set-up the day of the Summit will be available at 7:00 am.
