2013 NC Federal advanced technologies symposium (#NCFATS)
United States Senator Richard Burr, the North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC), the North Carolina Military Foundation, University of North Carolina and the Institute for Defense and Business are pleased to host the 2013 North Carolina Federal Advanced Technologies Symposium at the McKimmon Conference & Training Center at North Carolina State University in Raleigh on May 8-9, 2013.

The Federal Advanced Technologies Symposium will focus on the future advanced technology needs of the Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal agencies within the state.
Objective. To establish a dialogue between industry, academia and government and form partnerships to address the future needs of the federal government to meet technology challenges ahead. Although all technologies are subject to discussion during the Symposium, the eight "Industry and Military Forums" will focus on the following technology sectors:
Advanced Materials and Manufacturing
Tactical Energy Solutions
Ground Vehicles and Robotics
Bio Technologies
Medical Technologies
Cyber Security
Human/Social Sciences/Cultural & Behavioral Dynamics and Advanced Analytics
Aerospace/UAV

Symposium Social - May 8, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
Symposium - May 9, 2013. Registration begins at 7:15 am, Program 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Social. A social for the Advanced Technologies Symposium sponsored by OnWire Consulting will be held on May 8th at the McKimmon Conference & Training Center Lobby from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. There is no cost for attendees of the Symposium to attend. Attendees must be registered to attend the Symposium on May 9. To RSVP for the social, please indicate your attendance on your respective registration form for the Symposium. If you have any questions, please contact Courtney Smedick at smedickc@ncmbc.us.

Registration.
ATTENDEES, $95.00
Attendee registration includes a full program, light breakfast, lunch, beverages/snacks throughout the day, access to the exhibitor expo and event materials.
Online registration is now closed.
Walk-In registration is available the day of the Symposium (May 9) at the door. The best payment method for walk-in registration is a check made payable to "Fayetteville Technical Community College" with a business card stapled to it. Credit card payments will be accepted - Visa or MasterCard only.

Exhibitor registration includes a
table-top exhibitor display, plus
admission for two (2) to the Symposium which includes a full program, light breakfast, buffet lunch, beverages/snacks throughout the day and event materials.

Payment. After
completion of your registration, online payment is available through
the use of a Visa or MasterCard. Online payment is preferred. However,
checks will be accepted. Checks must be made out to "Fayetteville
Technical Community College" and mailed to PO Box 1748, Fayetteville, NC
28302-1748.
Additional Exhibitor Information.
Additional Participants. If your organization would like to send individuals outside of the two
(2) provided in the exhibitor registration, they must register and pay
as an attendee ($95.00).
Exhibit Space. Exhibitor space
includes a table-top booth display (6-foot table or 8-foot table dependent on availabilty and order of registration, chairs, table
skirting, and electricity if requested). If your organization plans to utilize the
electricity, please provide your own extension cords. Electricity requests must be noted on your exhibitor registration form.
Set-Up. Early set-up
will be available on May 8th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. Set-up will be
available the day of the event (May 9) starting at 7:30 am.
Exhibitor Special Requirements. If your organization has special requirements or needs to ship materials to the McKimmon Center, please email smedickc@ncmbc.us, as soon as possible.
Symposium Cancellation Policy. If the need to cancel occurs, please notify NCMBC in writing to smedickc@ncmbc.us prior to April 8, 2013 for a full refund. Refunds will not be
provided to those who cancel after close of businesses on April 8, 2013. Refunds will not be provided for "No Shows" the day of the event.
