General.  Federal government agencies are major consumers of clothing and textile products.  In accordance with statutory requirement 10 U.S.C. 2533a better known as the Berry Amendment.  “Restricts the Department of Defense from using funds appropriated or otherwise available to DoD for procurement of: food, clothing, tents/tarpaulins/covers, cotton and other natural fiber products, woven silk or woven silk blends, spun silk yarn for cartridge cloth, synthetic fabric or coated synthetic fabric, canvas products, or wool (including in manufactured articles), any item of individual equipment containing any of the restricted fibers or fabrics, or hand or measuring tools " that are not grown, reprocessed, reused, or produced in the U.S."

ASU Industry Pre-Proposal Conference - Friday, 30 January 2009

 

 

All potential offerors and/or suppliers of the Army Service Uniform (ASU) are hereby advised that a Pre-Proposal Conference will be held to explain and clarify the requirements of these solicitations and to respond to general questions raised by prospective offerors.  Interested firms/suppliers are encouraged to attend.  Write or call the Ashley Liddle at ashley.liddle@dla.mil / 215-737-3076 if you plan to attend.

 

Prospective offerors are requested to submit questions in writing by January 23, 2009, 7/23/04 12:00 PM EST to allow inclusion of the questions in the agenda.  Theses questions can be e-mailed to ashley.liddle@dla.mil.  Questions will be considered at any time prior to or during the conference, however, offerors will be asked to confirm verbal questions in writing. 

 

The ASU Industry Pre-Proposal conference will be held at the following location/date/time:

Date:  January 30, 2009

Time:  9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Registration: 8:00 am - 8:45 am

 

Offerors are cautioned that remarks and explanations provided at the conference shall not change the terms of this solicitation unless the solicitation is amended in writing. The Government will not be liable for expenses incurred by an offeror prior to contract award.
