Event Summary. The North Carolina Military Business Center and the Wake Technical Community College Small Business Center will present a series of three lunch-and-learn sessions entitled "Legal Issues in Government Contracting." These sessions are for businesses interested in teaming to compete for federal contracts, avoiding legal issues and protecting their rights as government contractors. This legal advice is critical for businesses competing for federal contracts!
Who Should Attend. These sessions are for mature businesses currently engaged in competing for or executing federal contracts. If your business is in the federal contracting sector, you need to attend!
Cost. Cost to attend is FREE (pre-registration with Wake Tech is required). Attendees should plan to attend all three sessions. Bring your own lunch!

Ms. Miller is an experienced contracting attorney whose firm specializes in federal
government contracting law - right here in North Carolina. Ms. Miller and her team
are prepared to assist companies with matters involving the Service Contract Act,
the Davis-Bacon Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, The Small Business Act, the
Competition in Contracting Act and other issues in federal contracting law.

Why should you file a protest - which arguments will win, and which won't? This program will also discuss the importance of the debriefing process and how to get the most helpful
information during that process. |
September 9, Part III: Post-Award Legal Issues - Changes, Claims and Disputes.
Changes, Claims and Disputes. Learn the specifics of the claims process and what you need to do to ensure your right to payment is protected. This program will also focus
on the importance of documenting changes and how to properly document
changes to protect your rights.
