Event. The North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) will host the North Carolina Federal IT Symposium on Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 7:30 am - 5:00 pm at The Friday Center in Chapel Hill, NC.
Purpose. This Symposium will provide information to North Carolina businesses about federal technology (IT) opportunities, federal contracting processes for IT goods and services, and subcontracting opportunities with major contractors providing IT services to the Department of Defense and other federal agencies. In short, participants will learn how the federal government REALLY buys IT.

Individual Attendees. $75.00 per person admission charge will cover the cost of facility, AM/PM snack, buffet lunch and materials. Companies may register up to 2 attendees per individual registration form (use additional forms if necessary). The NCMBC will maintain a waiting list when attendee space is sold out.
Open, on-line registration began on April 27, 2010. Participation in the IT Symposium is limited; registration will close on June 10th, however, if the IT Symposium reaches full capacity, the event will close before the June 10th deadline. Please register as soon as possible to ensure your company’s attendance at the Symposium. Once registration has closed, a wait list may be available.
The IT Symposium is intended for NC companies. However, out-of-state companies with significant prescence in the state may attend. Out-of-state companies without a significance prescene may attend with pre-approval by NCMBC. Email dorneys@ncmbc.us for more information before registering your out-of-state company.
Table-Top Booth Display Vendors. A limited number of booth spaces will be available at the rate of $225.00 per booth. Booths are available on a first come, first served basis. The NCMBC will maintain a waiting list when booth space is sold out. This booth rate includes a table-top booth display (2x5 foot table), chairs, table skirting, electricity and admission for 2 individuals.
Registration. Registration for booth vendors is closed. Registration is still available for individual attendees, including at the door. The Friday Center auditorium and breakout rooms are large and can accommodate additional attendees. However, final numbers have been provided to the Friday Center for lunch. Attendees who register now may not receive lunch. Lunch will be on a space available basis. We regret that reduced admission prices are not possible and refunds cannot be provided.

Cancellation Policy. If the need to cancel occurs, please notify NCMBC at locusc@ncmbc.us prior to June 10, 2010 for a full refund. Refunds will not be provided to those who cancel after close of businesses on June 10, 2010. Refunds will not be provided for "No Shows" the day of the event.
Accommodations. A limited block of IT Symposium will be available at the Courtyard by Marriott Chapel Hill (directly across from the Friday Center) for the rate of $109.00 plus tax for participants.
