The Offices of Senator Richard Burr and Senator Thom Tillis and the North Carolina Military Business Center are pleased to host the 2017 Southeast Region Federal Construction, Infrastructure & Environmental Summit (The Summit) in Wilmington, North Carolina at the Wilmington Convention Center on October 24-25, 2017.

WHERE. Wilmington Convention Center, 515 Nutt Street, Wilmington, NC 28401
PURPOSE.  “The Summit” brings together over 700 representatives of the Corps of Engineers, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Fort Bragg, Marine Corps Installations East, Seymour Johnson AFB, other Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps installations, US Coast Guard, Department of Veterans Affairs, General Services Administration, other federal agencies, general and specialty contractors, designers and construction suppliers from throughout the Southeast of the United States.

ATTENDANCE. Attendance is encouraged for:
  • General and specialty contractors that work in VA, NC, SC and GA.
  • Design firms that work in VA, NC, SC and GA.
  • Construction supply firms that work in VA, NC, SC and GA
  • Companies that provide facility-support contracts in VA, NC, SC and GA.
  • Current federal contractors seeking North Carolina partners and suppliers
  • Companies outside of the VA, NC, SC and GA region are welcome to attend “The Summit”
FY18 AND BEYOND GEORGIA AND FLORIDA INDUSTRY-RELATED CONSTRUCTION OPPORTUNITIES.  
Representatives from military installations major commands in Georgia and Florida will present and engage in interactive discussion with businesses about their programs, projects and related issues for FY2018 and beyond.  Representatives will address acquisition and execution processes for projects in the program of work.  Audience participation throughout the session is strongly encouraged.  Topics to be addressed include:

*  Anticipated acquisition strategies for projects in the FY2018 programs (primary emphasis)
*  Agency use of and business access to Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOC), Multiple Award Construction Contracts (MACC), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA), Basic Ordering Agreements (BOA) and other acquisition tools
*  Agency use of various small business set asides, sole source awards and other acquisition tools 
*  Government expectations, concerns and current issues (with contractors) in acquisition and execution of construction and engineering projects
