Fayetteville Technical Community College and NC Military Business Center Office Welcome Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Jonathan Ramsey to Provide Business Development Services to North Carolina Companies
June 17, 2020 – The North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Jonathan Ramsey as Business Development Professional at Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Serving businesses statewide, Jon will also provide one-on-one assistance to help businesses in the region to compete for, win and grow jobs through federal contracts.
“The business development team is the heart of the NCMBC,” said Scott Dorney, NCMBC Executive Director. “Jon’s extensive leadership experience as Director of Logistics at Womack Army Medical Center and as a medical logistics officer will prove invaluable to businesses within the FTCC service area, surrounding counties and businesses statewide within the medical industry in competing for, winning and successfully executing federal contracts – and growing jobs in our state.”
Jon will identify current and future prime and subcontracting opportunities from Fort Bragg commands, including: Womack Army Medical Center; US Special Operations Command; US Army Special Operations Command; Joint Special Operations Command; and the Department of Defense Education Activity. Additionally, Jon will monitor Department of Defense medical opportunities from: the Defense Logistics Agency, Medical Supply Chain; Defense Health Agency; US Army Medical Command (MEDCOM); US Army Medical Logistics Command (AMLC); Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery; Department of Health and Human Services; and the US Army Chemical Biological Center. Jon will notify companies statewide of these opportunities, and will provide one-on-one assistance to help companies in Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Montgomery, Moore, Richmond, Robeson and Scotland counties to bid on and win federal contracts.
Prior to joining the NCMBC, Jon served as the Director of Logistics at Womack Army Medical Center from October 2017 to Oct 2019, where he was responsible for all medical supply procurement, medical equipment maintenance, hospital cleaning teams and contingency medical supplies for rapid deployment units on Fort Bragg. Jon also served as: an XVIII Airborne Corps as a Medical Logistics Officer; 44th Medical Brigade S4, 82nd Airborne Division Medical Logistics Officer and in command and staff positions with several other medical commands during his service in the US Army. Jon retired from the US Army after 20 years, with considerable experience in medical logistics, procurement and contracting systems.
