Tuesday, April 21: General Services Administration.

During this session the General Services Administration will address how businesses, both large and small, can sell to federal agencies for COVID-19 products and services thru GSA; how GSA supports FEMA; how GSA provides assistance to states throughout the country; and long-term opportunities with GSA through GSA Federal Supply Schedules (outside of COVID response). GSA representatives will discuss how businesses with critical supplies, support items and vendors with solutions can assist with the COVID-19 response efforts. Thursday, April 23: Sen. Thom Tillis and NC General Assembly House Select Committee on COVID

Presented in partnership with the Defense Alliance of North Carolina, special guest US Senator Thom Tillis will discuss: 
  • COVID-19: Steps federal government has taken to assist/support small businesses, including contractors
  • COVID-19: Steps federal government has taken to support all Americans – that benefit businesses
  • Federal Contracting Environment: Sustaining business opportunity and meeting federal needs
Following Senator Tillis’ remarks, the North Carolina General Assembly House Select Committee on COVID-19 with Representative John Szoka and Representative Jason Saine will address State actions to support businesses impacted by COVID-19; General Assembly efforts, legislation, policies and programs, directly and through agencies, to support businesses (and federal contractors) during this situation. Additionally, they will address the upcoming session and any legislative priorities relevant to contractors and other businesses.
 
At the end of the session, the US Small Business Administration will provide an update to programs in place to assist with COVID-19 economic recovery. There will be an open session at the end for Q&A from businesses and other WEBCON participants.
