MatchForce.org is celebrating several milestones with the registration of its 10,000th individual job seeker and the registration of its 20,000th User. The 10,000th individual is from Evergreen, NC (Columbus County) and registered January 25, 2007 on MatchForce.org. Since this milestone, MatchForce has grown to 11,300 individuals – with 300 registrations a week.
Twenty thousand users includes the combination of over 8,600 businesses and over 11,400 individuals.
Administered by the North Carolina Military Business Center and funded by the state of North Carolina, MatchForce.org is a web portal that matches registered businesses to federal contracting opportunities and individuals to jobs posted by registered businesses in North Carolina.
With over 8,600 registered businesses, over 20,000 people use this State website every day. MatchForce is FREE to North Carolina businesses and job seekers.
The North Carolina Military Business Center introduced MatchForce statewide in 2005. Individual registrations have increased over 300 percent in the past year.
Originally designed to promote hiring of transitioning military and military family members in the state, this web-based service is free for business job postings and for job seekers in the state. Registering individuals may also link to the Employment Security Commission through MatchForce.
To use MatchForce, individuals register and enter keywords in their MatchForce profiles that describe their skills and background. The system automatically matches individuals - by skills - to more than 2,400 jobs posted on the site by North Carolina employers. MatchForce.org also includes a daily upload of all North Carolina federal job postings and all State of North Carolina positions as well.
North Carolina companies should register on MatchForce to receive federal business opportunities and to post their employment opportunities. Individuals should continue to register, keep profiles updated and respond to employment opportunities.
