The Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point has instituted a new web page designed to assist and inform potential government contractors about contracting and subcontracting opportunities aboard the base. Jobs estimated to be between $10,000 and $25,000 will be posted to the Web site. Information outlining the requirements for doing business with Cherry Point is also provided.
Contractors can view and provide quotes for current opportunities by going to: https://www.cherrypoint.usmc.mil/ROICC/default.asp
The Web site replaces the manual bulletin board postings and centralizes the Cherry Point Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) MidLant's electronic contract opportunity announcements. This is a win-win for both contractors and the Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC)
Cherry Point as there now is one location to monitor and maintain for current opportunity postings ranging between $10,000 and $25,000.
Opportunities exceeding the $25,000 threshold will continue to be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (www.fedbizopps.gov) and Navy Electronic Commerce (www.neco.navy.mil)websites, downloaded automatically from FedBizOpps into MatchForce and matched to businesses with MatchForce profiles.
