The NCMBC is promoting participation by small businesses from North Carolina in the 12th Annual DOD Small Business Conference to be held November 12-13, 2008, at the McLean Hilton Hotel, McLean, Va.

This event, sponsored by the National Defense Industrial Association (www.ndia.org), is one of the best attended and represented small business conferences held during the year.   This event is specifically directed at small businesses that provide support to the DOD.  There will be special emphasis during this event on Army business, but other military services will also be represented.  Senior level civilian and military decision makers will be there, along with key people from major DOD prime contractors who are seeking well qualified small business companies to work with.   DOD procurement officials and small business representatives from all of the major Army and some other military buying commands will be there.  The Small Business Administration will also be represented at this event to provide attendees with updates concerning recent changes that affect small businesses.

The theme for this year’s event is “Partnering for Success:  Small Business & the Military.”  Information about this event can be found at www.ndia.org, Meeting Number 9430.  NCMBC will be represented there, and ask that you notify us if you register for the event so we can be sure to connect with you there.
