The NCMBC is conducting a review of DOD contract vehicles that are often used by both large and small companies to capture business with the military services.  We are reviewing contract vehicles that have been awarded by the Army, Air Force and Navy to determine which of these contract vehicles may be of the greatest value to firms in North Carolina.

Based upon this review, the NCMBC will assign one of our Business Development Specialists to work closely with the issuers of a specific contract vehicle and the prime contractors to educate firms in North Carolina about each specific DOD contract vehicle and help North Carolina companies capitalize on this way of capturing new business.  Hundreds of millions of defense dollars per year are contracted by the various military services to buy products and have professional services provided under a wide range of DOD contract vehicles.  The purpose of this NCMBC initiative is to help North Carolina companies get involved in this creative and effective way of capturing new business.

If any of you have had particular success using DOD contract vehicles to capture new business, and might be willing to share your success stories, we would enjoy hearing from you.  We hope to learn about contract vehicles and prime contractors that will be of great value to NCMBC constituents.
