The North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) is pleased to provide information about a series of upcoming events that are valuable for North Carolina businesses in the federal marketplace.  These events provide access to government buyers, major defense contractors and potential teaming partners here in North Carolina.

2008 North Carolina Military Construction Summit.  The NCMBC and the North Carolina Military Foundation will co-host the 2008 Summit at the Marriott Durham Civic Center on November 19, 2008.  A reception will precede the Summit on the evening of November 18.  Government agencies, design build teams, specialty contractors and construction suppliers will attend.  Registration is not yet open.  For program information, contact the NCMBC at 910-323-4824 or visit www.ncmbc.us (soon).  For sponsorship opportunities, contact the NCMF at (919) 755-8193. 

24th Annual Air & Space Conference and Technology Exposition.  This conference, sponsored by the Air Force Association, brings together “Air Force leadership, industry experts, academia and current event specialists from around the world to discuss the issues and challenges facing America and the aerospace community today.”  The conference - September 15-17, 2008 in Washington, DC - includes major addresses, forums and workshops, and an expo with more than 130 aerospace exhibitors displaying and demonstrating the latest breakthroughs in air and space technology.  For more information, visit http://www.afa.org/events/Conference/2008/.

Association of the United States Army (AUSA) 2008 Annual Meeting and Exposition.  The AUSA Annual Meeting is “the world's largest landpower forum.”  The conference brings together the leadership of the Department of Defense, the active Army, Army Reserve and National Guard.  The three-day event, held October 6-8, 2008 in Washington, DC, includes military forums, social events, award presentations and military and industry exhibits – including the largest defense contractors.  For more information, visit http://www.ausa.org/news/annualmeeting/2008.
