What a difference a year can make in updating your CCR & ORCA! All the problems for doing this task have gone away as long as you did your update last year. (If you did not do this last year, you will have to contact CCR before doing the update.) When you go to www.ccr.gov to update your CCR all you will need is your User Name & Password that was created by you last year when the TPIN was eliminated. They did make me do 5 new Secret Questions, and please make sure you write down the 5 questions & answers for next year. This was because you have to create a new Password each year or after 60 days since the last time you visited your CCR. Once this was done I hit the Update/Renew, and found all my areas were GREEN! It is very important after you do this to do an update of your Small Business Profile the link will appear. I did check over some of my data like the Point of Contact page to make sure everything was current. The whole process took only 5 minutes, and after waiting 48 hours after completing the CCR I did the ORCA today. It is the same as last year, with a few new clauses. To do the ORCA was also a 5 minute process, and always please save the data for next year renewal. If you have any questions someone on the NCMBC Team will be happy to help.
