The Secretary of Defense delivered the 2010 Priorities
The Secretary of Defense delivered the 2010 QDR report to Congress on February 1, 2010. The QDR process frames strategic choices for the Department and establishes priorities to determine appropriate resource investments.
In the 2010 QDR, the Secretary of Defense included “Reforming How We Do Business” as a DoD focus. These priorities will affect future contracting opportunities and processes with DoD. Specifically, the report highlights several key issues, including:
· Reforming security assistance authorities and approaches
· Reforming how we buy
· Strengthening the industrial base
· Reforming the U.S. export control system
· Developing enterprise-wide climate change and energy strategies
