Boyce Haywood is currently a member of the North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) Business Development Team.

He is affiliated with the Wayne Community College in Goldsboro and serves as the Business Development Specialist for Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and the following counties: Edgecomb, Greene, Halifax, Hertford, Johnston, Lenoir, Nash, Northhampton, Pitt, Wayne and Wilson.

As a Business Development Specialist, Boyce assists North Carolina businesses in winning Federal business opportunities which will thereby grow their companies. To reach that goal, he is responsible for identifying Federal Government requirements and bidding opportunities and assist North Carolina firms to win contracting opportunities; and to help N.C. small businesses to develop and win subcontracting opportunities. Boyce specifically identifies opportunities advertised from Seymour Johnson AFB Contracting Office, and works with North Carolina industries in those specific areas as well as his geographic area of responsibility.

Prior to joining NCMBC, Boyce served in the capacity of Purchasing Agent with the NC Department of Administration and the NC Wildlife Resources Commission for 2 ½ years. He provided procurement support to 35 State agencies serving the citizens of NC and mandated quality of life efforts. Prior to joining the NC Department of Administration, Boyce served as Purchasing Supervisor with the Naval Hospital at Camp Lejeune supporting 40,000 Marines.

Prior to joining the Naval Hospital Team, He served as an Acquisition Analyst as a Department of Defense Contractor with CACI. During that time he deployed to Iraq for 18 months.

Boyce is a retired US Air Force Senior Master Sergeant and former Contracting Officer. He retired as the 4th Contracting Squadron Superintendent/First Sergeant at Seymour Johnson AFB, N.C. His other military assignments included March AFB, CA, Holloman AFB, NM, Comiso, Italy, Torrejon, Spain, Misawa, Japan and Okinawa, Japan. He also had deployment tours to Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Malaysia, Australia and Thailand.

Boyce currently resides in Goldsboro, NC with his wife, Kimberly, also a retired Air Force member. They have one daughter, Kianna.
