Fayetteville Tech’s Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Small Business

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – March 8, 2018 – Fayetteville Technical Community College’s Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Small Business (CIESB) and the Center for Economic Empowerment and Development (CEED) will cohost Fayetteville’s fourth annual Foodtrepreneur Forum, on Thursday, March 15, 2018. The conference and expo will focus on the rapidly growing opportunities for food trucks and other mobile food service options, such as pushcarts and pop-up coffee bars.  The event begins at 8 a.m. in the Tony Rand Student Center Multipurpose Room at the Fayetteville campus located at 2201 Hull Road.


The event is free to the public with a prior online registration required for entry.  Prospective attendees can register online at  Seating is limited, so early registration is highly recommended.


The forum will offer a variety of learning opportunities including 1) how to build a solid business plan for any food truck, trailer, or pushcart, 2) how to collaborate with local mobile businesses, 3) testimonies of successful restauranteurs, food truck owners, and industry experts, and 4) a tour of the successful “R Burger” food truck.


Additionally, panel discussions with food service experts will include 1) how to get started in the food truck business, 2) managing costs, 3) food truck public and trade relations, 4) unique opportunities and obstacles in food truck marketing, and 5) taking the next steps on the road to success.

The Fayetteville Technical Community College Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Small Business provides seminars, one-to-one, confidential business counseling, classes, and other resources to help entrepreneurs launch their businesses and small business owners grow their companies.  FTCC SBC clients receive nearly all services, seminars, and resources at no charge.


CEED (The Center for Economic Empowerment & Development) and its Women’s Business Center (WBC) provide a host of services designed to promote self-sufficiency or business ownership, including credit and loan counseling, mortgage and loan application assistance, business plans, and more through seminars, one-on-one counseling, specialized workshops and referrals.
