NORTH CAROLINA CYBERSECURITY VIRTUAL SERIES PART I

September 10 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

The Offices of Senator Richard Burr and Senator Thom Tillis, the North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) and the North Carolina Defense Technology Transition Office (DEFTECH) will host a series of cybersecurity-related webinars beginning in August through December.   The purpose of these web conferences is to support growth and development of cybersecurity business and cybersecurity educational capacity for North Carolina entities who wish to provide goods/services of any kind to the Department of Defense and/or other government entities.

When.  Varies based on session, see below for specifics. 

Platform. The NCMBC will host these webinars in an online platform.  Information will be provided an hour prior to the training each session.  

Registration.  These are free sessions.  Registration will be available for each under each individual session, as it becomes available.

  • Colonel Jeff Worthington is a career Army Communications Officer.  A graduate of Texas Christian University and National Defense University, Colonel Worthington has served in positions of increasing importance.  His experience providing communications and network support to both Presidents Bush and Obama as well as Joint and Special Operations forces shaped his development in the delicate balance between network security and accessibility.  He has deployed numerous times in support of operations in the Middle East and Commanded the Army’s Brigade responsible for communications in Europe and Africa.  Most recently, Colonel Worthington was the Chief Information Officer for the Joint Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg.  He is now the Special Assistant to the XVIII Airborne Corps Chief of Staff where he is working strategic cyber and information technology initiatives for the Corps.
