The Mission of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is to enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States according to the law; to ensure public safety against threats foreign and domestic; to provide federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime; to seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior, and to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans.
The DOJ FY 2020 Budget totals $29.2 billion in discretionary budget authority. The FY 2020 DOJ Budget is delineated by five categories: law enforcement (51.1%); prisons and detention (29.2%); litigation (10.8%); grants (6.0%); and immigration/administration/technology/other (2.9%). DOJ is estimating a further $5.6 billion in mandatory budget authority in FY 2020.

U.S. Department of Justice
Kerrie Jackson is a Program Specialist in the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU). Ms. Jackson has worked in OSDBU serving in different capacities from Secretary to Administrative Specialist, and currently as Program Specialist. Her role in this position involves providing programmatic support to DOJ’s small business programs; managing and planning outreach program activities; reviewing the Department’s acquisition strategy to ensure compliance with law, regulations, and Department policy; meeting with small business vendors seeking business with the Department. Ms. Jackson also participates and represents DOJ in various fairs, conferences, and trade shows to educate the small business community on the Department’s small business programs and to make them aware of contracting opportunities within the Department.
Ms. Jackson has attended many of the Women’s Chamber past matchmaking events; and she enjoys interacting with small businesses and assisting them with navigating through the federal procurement process.
