United States Senator Richard Burr, United States Senator Thom Tillis, and the North Carolina Military Business Center are pleased to announce the 2016 Southeast Region Aerospace Supplier and Advanced Manufacturing Summit on August 16-17 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

PROGRAM. The Southeast Region Aerospace Supplier and Advanced Manufacturing (SEASAM) Summit is a regional, business development and teaming event focused on current and future defense, commercial and general aviation business opportunities.
An expansion of previous Aerospace Supplier Conferences, the SEASAM will showcase companies within the Southeast Region engaged in advanced manufacturing and aerospace-related activities, and will connect suppliers and service providers with national aerospace primes, first-tier subs and both military and civilian aerospace customers. The SEASAM program will be functionally organized and will feature sessions focused on manufacturers, product and service providers in the aerospace industry.
KEYNOTE ANNOUNCEMENT: CURTISS-WRIGHT CORPORATION John Watts is the Corporate Vice President of Strategy and Communications for Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW), reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
In this role, John has oversight over the strategic direction of the Corporation, with his primary responsibility being developing and executing innovative, financially sound and data-driven strategies to achieve business objectives and increase shareholder value.
Additionally, John leads the Corporate Communications function, with responsibility for the development and execution of both internal and external communications, with the exception of Investor Relations.
John previously held positions of Director and later Vice President of Business Development within Curtiss-Wright Controls, at the time a reportable segment of the Corporation. In this capacity he led the segment’s merger & acquisition activities, acquiring 15 companies over six years. He has been an employee of Curtiss-Wright since 2007.
Prior to joining the Corporation, John held positions in Business Development and Quality in General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems. A U.S. Army veteran, John served as an officer and Army Aviator for almost ten years. He holds an MBA from Duke University and a BA from Furman University.
