Aerospace Systems

GENERAL. North Carolina is home to a vibrant and diverse military, commercial and general aviation aerospace industry, with assembly, manufacturing, engineering, operations and service providers statewide.  NCMBC is the go-to organization to support large and small North Carolina businesses with supply chain and contracting opportunities in the federal aerospace market.

There are several federal agencies in North Carolina that procure and utilize Aerospace and Unmanned Systems products and services manufactured and supplied by firms located in the state. Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) – East at MCAS Cherry Point and the Aviation Logistics Center at US Coast Guard Station at Elizabeth City both have responsibilities for the repair, maintenance and upgrades for military aircraft. There are military aviation assets also located at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and Simmons Army Airfield at Fort Bragg. The provision of material and services for these assets could benefit companies located here in North Carolina.

The North Carolina Military Business Center has developed a Strategic Initiative that will assist firms located in North Carolina by maximizing their exposure in the Aerospace market.
