Robin Bridges joined the North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) as a Business Development Specialist in May of 2016.

A statewide component of the North Carolina Community College System (with State headquarters at FTCC), the NCMBC is a business development organization that connects North Carolina businesses to federal contracts, connects military and other jobseekers to employment and helps recruit defense contractors to North Carolina.

Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Robin graduated from The University of Maryland in 1982 and received her Masters of Business Management from Western International University (Phoenix, AZ) in 1986.

Prior to joining the NCMBC, Robin was with RTI International (Durham, NC) as a Senior Contracting Officer, primarily working in the International Development business area.  In this capacity, Robin worked with both contracts and cooperative agreements/grants in all phases of acquisition/assistance. Robin has also worked for such prime contractors as Harris Corporation (Rochester, NY) and ITT Electro-Optical Products Division (Roanoke, VA). She has also worked for BAI Aerosystems, Inc., a small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) manufacturer and in her own small business.

Having served in Berlin, Robin is a U. S. Army veteran, an over 25 year member of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA), an NCMA Certified Federal Contracts Manager, and a NCMA Fellow.

Fishing has always been a favorite hobby of Robin’s; she recently returned from a three day trip in Guatemala with a grand total of twenty-eight sailfish released. She also enjoys making handmade soap, a craft that was taught to her by her sixth grade teacher and is a member of Freedom Biker Church.
