Building A Cybersecurity Compliance Infrastructure Session at Virtual Summit (Oct 27-28)

OCTOBER 28, 2021:
1145-1245: CyberStructure: Building A Cybersecurity Compliance Infrastructure
The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) put an end to organizations having the option to self-attest to cybersecurity compliance, as well as the “checklist” method of compliance. CMMC is a quality management system for cybersecurity, and compliance is a business decision that affects every aspect of the organization. This session will focus on building a holistic cybersecurity quality management system program, including transitioning from compliance to NIST SP 800-171 to CMMC, gaining management and employee buy-in, risk assessments, documentation requirements, understanding controlled unclassified information, the importance of training, and how to use the tools on the NCMBC cybersecurity website – – to build your cybersecurity program.
Considering the current COVID operational environment, anticipated government travel restrictions and the commitment of all co-hosts to provide a valuable, impactful and safe event, we are postponing the in-person Summit until April 6-7, 2022.  We are as disappointed in this decision as everyone who will read this message, but ultimately, we feel it is the best decision given the current environment and trending figures.
Although we cannot gather in-person in October, we invite you to participate in a free, virtual “Summit-Light” web conference, scheduled for October 27-28, 2021.  We hope that you will participate in those sessions.  For more information visit:

The NC Military Business Center, the NC Community College System, and the State of North Carolina do not officially endorse events. These items are posted strictly for the information and convenience of NCMBC customers.
