The North Carolina Military Business Center and the North Carolina Defense Technology Transition Office are pleased to announce the Defense Advanced Research Program Agency (DARPA) Industry Outreach Event on April 1, 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Industry Outreach will be held in a virtual platform.
When. April 1, 2021 from 0900-1300.
About. The Defense Advanced Research Program Agency (DARPA) acting Director, Dr. Peter Highnam, and other members of the agency’s leadership and PMs will conduct an information session on the current and future research needs of the agency.
For sixty years, DARPA has held to a singular and enduring mission: to make pivotal investments in breakthrough technologies for national security.
Presentations and Discussion will include:
  • How DARPA reaches for transformational change rather than incremental advances.
  • Current and future challenges, spanning the spectrum from deep science to systems to capabilities.
  • How DARPA works with an innovation ecosystem that includes academic, corporate and governmental partners.
  • And how DARPA program managers probe for the next big thing in their fields, communicating with leaders in the scientific and engineering community to identify new challenges and potential solutions.

The purpose of this webinar is to educate and inform the North Carolina Innovation Ecosystem of on-going and future research requirements and how to work with DARPA.
