FRAUD ALERT:  The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) is alerting the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) verified firms about schemes related to fraudulent solicitations where the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Procurement Executive Director, Ricky Lemmon is falsely portrayed as owning and issuing the solicitations.

Scammers are pretending to be Mr. Lemmon and are requesting Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs) ship computers and other IT equipment to them but the VOSBs will never be paid by VA because this is not a valid solicitation and the Department is not associated with these actions in any way.

Mr.  Lemmon will never personally issue any solicitations; therefore, if a VOSB receives a solicitation that appears to be from Mr. Lemmon, please do not respond or ship any products but report it to the VA Inspector General Hotline at https://www.va.gov/oig/hotline or 1(800) 488-8244.

The NC Military Business Center, the NC Community College System, and the State of North Carolina do not officially endorse events. These items are posted strictly for the information and convenience of NCMBC customers.
