SESSION FOCUS: Industry-Government Conversation (Supply Chain, Berry Amendment, COVID Challenges to Engaging in the Federal Market).
Representatives from industry, academia and DoD will dialogue about supply chain, workforce, regulatory, COVID-related, priority-related and other issues impacting delivery of textile-based commodities to DoD.  Discussion will include the impact of these challenges and disruptions on the Berry Amendment, future domestic production and military readiness, and strategies to mitigate them.  Dialogue will also address financial, technical, contracting and other barriers to entry into and pivoting within the federal market by small and mid-size businesses, and strategies and programs to mitigate these challenges.   

ABOUT THE EVENT.  The FEDTEX Summit connects US Department of Defense clothing and textiles, individual equipment and organizational equipment buyers and requirements officials with manufacturing, supply chain, research and development, testing, workforce development and academic resources from across the southeast United States.  All manufacturers of textile-based clothing, footwear, equipment and textile-based soldier systems – and their supply chain, workforce, R&D and supporting resources – should attend this Summit.
