Vets First Verification Program

The Vets First Verification Program affords verified firms owned and controlled by Veterans and Service-disabled Veterans the opportunity to compete for VA set asides. During Verification, the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) verifies SDVOSBs/VOSBs according to the tenets found in Title 38 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 74 and 13 CFR Part 125 that address Veteran eligibility, ownership, and control. In order to qualify for participation in the Veterans First Contracting Program, eligible SDVOSBs/VOSBs must first be verified.

To see if you qualify, we recommend the verification pre-qualification quiz (strictly voluntary).

To get started with the verification process:

1. Create a user account in the System for Award Management (SAM) registry

2. Create a DS logon Premium Account (Veterans) or an account (non-Veterans and representatives)

3. Create a Vendor Information Page (VIP) account., select “Apply for Verification”.

4. View the required documents matrix for your business structure, e.g., LLC, Inc, etc. .

Gather the documents to upload to VIP.

5. For assistance with verification, contact a local Verification Assistance Counselor, COST-FREE

6. Submit a complete application to CVE (i.e., fully executed with all supporting documentation)
