DESCRIPTION:STRIVE Startup Training Resources to Inspire Veteran Entrepreneurship \nFree 10-week personalized training to help Veterans and military affiliated* entrepreneurs succeed! \nNow Accepting Applications for Classes Starting March 22\, 2023! \nAPPLY NOW \nThe STRIVE program is a FREE entrepreneurship training program for Veterans and military affiliated* individuals. \nWHO BENEFITS FROM STRIVE: This intensive 10-week workshop is for the Veteran and military affiliated* entrepreneur that wants to start a new business or grow their early stage enterprise. \n*WHO CAN APPLY: STRIVE is free\, but only available to Veterans\, Active Duty\, Reserve\, National Guard\, their spouses\, and First-Generation children of Veterans. Gold Star parents\, spouses and children are also eligible. Partners in business with a Veteran may apply\, if a Veteran owns at least 50% of the business. \nOUTCOMES: At the conclusion of the STRIVE program\, participants will have an actionable plan to either launch their new business or take a significant step forward with an existing business. This plan can also be used for loan applications\, and a fundable pitch. \nUpon successful completion of the STRIVE program\, participants will be able to: \n\nIdentify their target market\nUtilize the 3 basic types of research to validate their business and focus their marketing\nApply an iterative “Proceed\, Pivot\, or Punt” approach to all stages of development\nUse the tools necessary to determine the business and economic model that best serves themand their company\nLearn how to rise above the clutter and noise through targeted marketing\nCreate proforma financials\nUnderstand the basics of company financial controls\nHave a comprehensive business plan suitable for funding\nCreate a competitive pitch presentation\n\nTHE 3-PART STRIVE APPROACH: \n\nFace-to-face classes on 10 consecutive Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00pm. These classes will cover key concepts and how to take the next steps on your plan. Classes will meet at the FTCC General Classroom Building\, 2718 Fort Bragg Road\, Room 108/114. Some food and drinks will be provided.\nPrivate meetings with subject matter experts will help you resolve questions and sticking points with your plan. Depending on you and your Business Counselor’s schedules\, meetings will be held via Zoom\, phone or in person.\nIndividualwork: Participants should expect to invest 10 or more hours per week to this program.\n\nLONG ON PRACTICALITY.
