SUMMARY:Industry Day: Rollinson Channel Maintenance Dredging Contract
DESCRIPTION:Contract Scope:  Approximately 200\,000 – 300\,000 cubic yards of material is to be removed from Rollinson Channel\, Hatteras Connecting Channel\, Hatteras Ferry Channel Ranges 4 and 5\, Barney Slough South\, and Sloop Channel North. Placement of dredged material from Rollinson Channel\, Hatteras Connecting Channel\, Hatteras Ferry Channel Ranges 4 and 5\, and Barney Slough South will be in the Nearshore area adjacent to a National Park Service Beach at Hatteras.  Placement of dredged material from Sloop Channel North will be in the Nearshore off a National Park Service Beach at Ocracoke. The dredging shall be performed by hydraulic pipeline dredge. Method of placement of dredged material will be by control of effluent for nearshore placement. DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce the launch of the Equitable Clean Energy Advancement Initiative Pilot in North Carolina\, and we invite you to be part of our first cohort! \nAbout the Equitable Clean Energy Advancement Initiative (ECEAI): Our mission is to help minority-owned businesses in North Carolina engage with\, expand\, and sustainably grow in the energy industry. Throughout the 8-week Equitable Clean Energy Advancement Initiative Pilot cohort\, participants will engage in hands-on workshops\, interactive discussions\, case studies\, guest speaker sessions\, and practical exercises. This comprehensive program aims to equip participants with the knowledge\, skills\, and resources necessary to excel in clean energy\, including access to Department of Energy grants and contract opportunities. \nWorkshop Topics include: \n\nIntroduction to Clean Energy\nRegistering for SAM.gov\nRegulatory Landscape for Clean Energy\nDeveloping Clean Energy Projects\nEnergy Storage Solutions for Clean Energy Businesses\nBuilding Sustainable Business Models\nClean Energy Project Financing\nCohort Graduation\n\nProgram Workshop Dates:  \n\nSeptember 27\, 2023 (Cohort start)\nOctober 4\, 2023\nOctober 11\, 2023\nOctober 18\, 2023\nNovember 1\, 2023\nNovember 10-11\, 2023 (Cohort Graduation)\n\nProgram Workshop Times: 6:00 – 9:00 pm EST \nWorkshops will be hosted virtually unless otherwise specified \nBusiness Eligibility: \n\nAt least fifty-one percent (51%) of the business is owned by one or more persons who are members of at least one of the following groups: African American\, Hispanic\, Asian American\, American Indian\, Female\, Disabled\, or Disadvantaged.\nThe management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more owners of the business who are members of at least one of the groups set forth in the groups above.\nMust have a minimum of 3 years business operation\nMust provide goods or services applicable to the Energy Industry\nThis pilot ECEAI Cohort is for North Carolina-based companies\nParticipants must reach at least 80% attendance to complete the program.\n\nApplication Details: The deadline for applications is September 15\, 2023 11:59pm.
