This training is a comprehensive guide to using MatchForce as a tool for finding federal contracting opportunities and doing market research. In this training you will learn how MatchForce can be utilized to: match your business to contract opportunities automatically; effectively search and filter the internal database of federal contracting data; and help businesses (both prime and subcontractors) along with contracting officers do in-depth market research. Additionally\, prime contractors will learn how to use the search function to search for businesses to perform subcontracting tasks\, or to view businesses in an area that can perform work in certain industries. Potential subcontractors will learn how to use the search function to search for prime contractors that they may be able to partner with. Finally\, you will learn how to easily access MatchForce’s internal database of federal contracting opportunities\, government purchase card opportunities and future\, forecast opportunities to always be aware of opportunities for your business. \nRegistration. DESCRIPTION:The North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) and the Government Contracting Assistance Program (GCAP) will host the following collaborative in-person trainings across North Carolina during 2024.  The duration for training is 3.5 hours which includes three one-hour sessions and two 15-minute breaks. \nPart 1: Federal Contracting Fundamentals (one hour). This training explores the fundamentals on doing business with the federal government. Topics include: levels of federal purchasing; how the federal government buys products\, construction and engineering and non-personal services; registering as a federal contractor; locating\, identifying and responding to federal business opportunities; and resources available to assist federal contractors in North Carolina. \nPart 2: Navigating Federal Small Business Certifications: An In-Depth Analysis (one hour). DESCRIPTION:EVENT INFO: https://fedtex.ncmbc.us\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Federal and Defense Textile (FEDTEX) Summit hosted by the Office of US Senator Thom Tillis\, Office of Senator Ted Budd\, the North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) and the North Carolina Defense Technology Transition Office (DEFTECH) connects the US Department of Defense (DoD) and federal agency clothing and individual equipment buyers with US textile manufacturers\, textile supply chain suppliers\, cut and sew contractors\, research and development (R&D) facilities\, testing labs and academic resources. \nWho should attend– All prime textile manufacturers and textile supply chain manufacturers currently producing clothing\, footwear\, parachutes and textile-based tactical equipment for DoD\, and producers of medical\, PPE and related soldier systems.
