SUMMARY:Military Medical Innovation Operational Forum
DESCRIPTION:The Military Medical Innovation Operational (MIO)-Forum is a collaboration between Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC)\, Fort Liberty\, NC; the North Carolina Military Business Center; the North Carolina Defense Technology Transition Office (DEFTECH); and Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC).  The purpose is to forge collaborations between WAMC and academia\, industry\, and military partners to yield actionable results\, including joint submissions for federal grant funding. The goal is to increase the success rate of grant applications by informing partners of the types of high-yield research proposals. This forum will bring together subject matter experts (SMEs) with years of research and grant experience to discuss research opportunities within the areas of behavioral health\, traumatic brain injury\, prolonged field care\, automation\, human performance\, musculoskeletal injuries\, large observational data\, pain and others. The key component of the MIO-Forum will be the opportunity for attendees to rotate between tables hosted by an SME. Our goal is to begin substantive discussions that will lead to collaborative future engagements. \nWhen.
