SUMMARY:Industry Day - 2024 Small Capacity Weight Handling Equipment Multiple Award Contract
DESCRIPTION:A Weight Handling Equipment Industry Forum sponsored by Navy Crane Center will be held via Microsoft Teams on 26 June 2024 starting at 1200 Eastern time for those businesses interested in this procurement and that classify as a Small Business under North American Industry Standard 333923. The purpose of this Industry Forum is to provide information regarding the scope of the upcoming Small Capacity Weight Handling Equipment Multiple Award Contract (WHEMAC) and to provide other relevant information regarding the overall pre‐award and post‐award process for this proposed procurement. \nThis Small Capacity WHEMAC will be used primarily for the ordering of new\, and the overhaul of existing\, Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) of varying types (bridge cranes\, jib cranes\, monorail/hoist cranes\, gantry cranes\, etc.) and lifting capacities for Navy\, Marine Corps and other federal activities worldwide. The work contemplated under this Small Capacity WHEMAC will include\, but not be limited to: site survey/investigation; design; fabrication; crane rail alignment survey/installation; demolition/removal of existing cranes and equipment in compliance with environmental disposal restrictions; runway/equipment electrification; crane installation; crane testing; and operational training. Cranes will be designed and manufactured in accordance with CMAA 70 and CMAA 74 (as applicable) as modified by NAVCRANECENINST 11450.2A\, and certifiable in accordance with NAVFAC P‐307. Application for use of the weight handling equipment to be procured under this Small Capacity WHEMAC is intended to primarily support General Purpose Service (GPS). However\, it is not restricted from the procurement of more complex applications\, including handling of fissionable materials\, molten metals\, ordnance\, hazardous area applications as defined by the National Electric Code\, and Special Purpose Service (SPS). \nThe Small Capacity WHEMAC will primarily be used for\, but is not limited to\, the procurement of new WHE and/or overhaul of existing WHE with the following characteristics: \n\nPrimarily less than or equal to than 30‐ton (60\,000 lbs) capacity\nPrimarily up to a maximum single span of 60 feet\n\nSpan shall apply only to bridge and gantry cranes\n\n\nPrimarily for the procurement of General Purpose Service cranes\nAllowance is made to permit the procurement of cranes outside of the above listed criteria if circumstances require.\n\nThe Government reserves the right to award up to a maximum of 10 Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts under one Small Capacity WHEMAC. Award will be based on source selection criteria. This training is a comprehensive guide to using MatchForce as a tool for finding federal contracting opportunities and doing market research. In this training you will learn how MatchForce can be utilized to: match your business to contract opportunities automatically; effectively search and filter the internal database of federal contracting data; and help businesses (both prime and subcontractors) along with contracting officers do in-depth market research. Additionally\, prime contractors will learn how to use the search function to search for businesses to perform subcontracting tasks\, or to view businesses in an area that can perform work in certain industries. Potential subcontractors will learn how to use the search function to search for prime contractors that they may be able to partner with. Finally\, you will learn how to easily access MatchForce’s internal database of federal contracting opportunities\, government purchase card opportunities and future\, forecast opportunities to always be aware of opportunities for your business. \nRegistration.
