DESCRIPTION:Join the North Carolina Coalition for Defense Researchers (NC CDR)\, the North Carolina Military Business Center\, and the First Flight Venture Center to hear from Mr. Tom Earnhardt\, Deputy for Technology and Experimentation in the JSOC Modernization Division. \nWhen. December 3 from 11:30 – 1:30 pm \nWhere. In-person at the First Flight Venture Center (2 Davis Drive\, Durham\, NC 27709) or Online via Zoom\nIn-person is limited to the first 40 attendees. ​​​​​​In-person is at max capacity. Online Option is available.  \nLunch will be provided. \nAbout. The JSOC Modernization Division\, together with J8 Futures Division creates and maintains the Enterprise Gaps list\, broken out by war fighting function. Gaps are addressed through wargaming and experimentation each year. Virtually all JSOC gaps are shared by Joint Force partners\, so the JSOC speed and agility helps shape research and development efforts within the Department of War. Mr. Earnhardt  will address these gaps with a focus on those requiring extensive scientific research to solve. Following his presentation\, Mr. Earnhardt will remain to answer questions and meet with those in attendance. \nPurpose. The CDR is to advance the collaboration among NC University researchers\, the NC Innovation ecosystem\, and the Defense sector to better identify\, understand and pursue early stage research in support of national defense. \nRegister
