DESCRIPTION:NC State University Industry Expansion Solutions (IES)\, Elizabeth City State University (ECSU)\, the Office of Representative Don Davis\, and the North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) are hosting a North Carolina Maritime Manufacturing Initiative (NCMMI) Regional Listening Session for Congressional District 1. \nEvent Details: \n\nDate: Thursday\, November 5\, 2026\, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.\nLocation: Elizabeth City State University\, Kermit E. White Graduate Center\, 1862 Edgewood Dr\, Elizabeth City\, NC 27909\, USA\n\nBuilding on our statewide strategic planning effort\, NCMMI has established a 2026–2030 Statewide Strategic Plan aimed at fortifying North Carolina’s Maritime Industrial Base. This listening session brings that effort directly to Congressional District 1 to align regional strengths\, address localized challenges\, and refine a regional strategy that feeds into the statewide vision. \nWe are bringing together key leaders across workforce development\, defense\, maritime industries\, advanced manufacturing\, higher education\, economic development\, and government.
