Introduction to General Services Administration (Nov 9, Virtual)

The North Carolina Military Business Center and General Services Administration (GSA) will host an “Introduction to GSA” webinar virtually on November 9, 2021 from 9:00-11:00 AM.

About. GSA Schedule (also referred to as Multiple Award Schedule [MAS] and Federal Supply Schedule) is a long-term government wide contract.  The program awards approximately $50 billion worth of goods and services.  For federal agencies and State and Local governments, the program is a fast, easy, and effective contracting vehicle that provides access to millions of commercial products and services at volume discount pricing.

A key reason for the success of the program is federal buyers do not have to post requirements on SAM.GOV.  Instead, they can choose from a variety of awarded MAS contracts via GSA ADVANTAGE.  Federal government agencies can use eBuy to post RFQs for supplies and services under both GSA Schedules and Technology contracts. State and local government entities can use eBuy to post RFQs for GSA Schedule supplies and services under the Cooperative Purchasing Program and the Disaster Recovery Purchasing Program.

Facts to consider about GSA MAS Schedules:

–   80% of GSA Multiple Award Schedule Contractors are small businesses who represent 36% of sales

–   More than $50 Billion flows through this program every year

–   GSA had over 20,000 contracts under the program

–   Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) have consolidated to one schedule with 12 Major categories
