ABOUT.  The North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) is pleased to support the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Industry Day for Hurricane Recovery Work at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina.

NCMBC is proud to welcome NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic, as senior leaders set the stage for a $1.7 billion program to restore Camp Lejeune and Cherry Point. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to take part in the event to learn more about the acquisition strategy that includes 31 military construction projects in multiple solicitation packages.

Highlights of the industry outreach event include:

  • Engagement with senior leadership from NAVFAC and Marine Corps Installations Command
  • Detailed acquisition presentation detailing the agile strategy designed to speedily deliver on the volume of contracting requirements
  • Industry Q&A session
  • Industry registration for one-on-one sessions with government contracting officials

Register early to attend the industry day and to secure your appointment with acquisition representatives (see below “One-on-one meetings with NAVFAC” section for more details).  NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic is eager to engage industry on the proposed acquisition strategy and the construction execution approach to achieve the end goal: successful project award and delivery of quality facilities.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: General contractors, specialty contractors and A/E contractors that are qualified to contract with and able to execute construction-related recovery work for NAVFAC at installations in North Carolina.  Construction suppliers and industry support companies/entities are welcome and encouraged to attend and to participate in briefings and networking with general, specialty and A/E contractors – but should not expect scheduled, one-on-one meetings with NAVFAC.

ONE-ON-ONE MEETINGS WITH NAVFAC.  One-on-one meetings for contractors with NAVFAC representatives will be scheduled in the afternoon.  Meetings will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and based on the below priorities.  The first fifty companies to register for a one-on-one meeting on their event registration will be slotted a meeting time.  The assigned meeting times will be posted to this website on August 18, 2019.
