Unlocking the 8(a) Business Development Program

The North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) and the US Small Business Administration (SBA), North Carolina District Office are pleased to host a webinar on “Unlocking the 8(a) Business Development Program” on November 18th from 1100-1230.

About. The Federal Government is the world’s largest buyer of goods and services. Last year, 43% of total federal dollars awarded to North Carolina businesses were awarded to small businesses.  Join the NCMBC and the SBA to learn about the 8(a) certification program, which enables the federal government to meet its annual goal of 23% federal contracting dollars to small businesses.  SBA will present the 8(a) program; its benefits and its eligibility requirements.

The session will also feature an 8(a) certified company who will share how they leveraged the 8(a) certification to build relationships and increase revenue in the federal marketplace!  A panel session will also take place and will feature the 8(a) firm, North Carolina Military Business Center, and the U.S. Small Business Administration. It will address common contracting questions, resources available, and the benefits of federal contracting.

Platform. The NCMBC will host all training webinars on the NCMBC’s Zoom for Government platform. Zoom information will be provided in your registration confirmation email and also emailed out prior to each training as a reminder.

Registration.  Registration is now closed.
