Summit Activities on Day 1

The Offices of US Senator Thom Tillis and US Senator Ted Budd and the North Carolina Military Business Center are pleased to announce the Southeast Regional Federal Construction, Infrastructure & Environment Summit on April 22-24, 2025 in Wilmington, North Carolina.

“The Summit” brings together over 800+ representatives of the Corps of Engineers, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Fort Liberty, Marine Corps Installations East, Seymour Johnson AFB, other Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps installations, US Coast Guard, Department of Veterans Affairs, General Services Administration, other federal agencies, general and specialty contractors, designers and construction suppliers from throughout the Southeast of the United States.


WHY ATTEND THE SUMMIT?

  • The Summit is the premier, best-established and most-recognized federal construction event in the Southeast– businesses who are already engaged or want to perform in the federal market need to be there!
  • Program and Procurement Dialogue” sessions address future projects and acquisition strategies, contractor experiences, teaming and supplier opportunities and other issues related to acquisition and execution of projects at military bases and government throughout the Southeast. These sessions also include information on federal opportunities in environmental engineering and remediation, energy and horizontal infrastructure (including roads and intersections, water, wastewater, natural gas and other utilities).
  • Other Summit sessions address critical and timely topics, including supplier, service contract and public-private opportunities, small business programs and utilization, budget impacts, workforce, responding to federal disasters as a federal contractor, contracting processes and pre- and post-award legal issues for federal contractors.  
  • Summit networking and trade show activities allow businesses to market their services and products to over 800+ general contractors, specialty contractors, engineers, architects and suppliers. 
  • In addition, pre-Summit networking opportunities include a golf event hosted and organized by the Cape Fear Post of the Society of American Military Engineers  and an evening Summit Social at the Embassy Suites in downtown Wilmington!

Day 1 Summit Activities

  • NC Port Tour in Wilmington. Registered participants of the Summit will have the opportunity to participate in the following tour. In order to participate you must select the tour option during the registration process. This tour is available to the first 100 registrants.  The Mission of North Carolina Ports is to be the gateway to global markets and to enhance the economy of North Carolina by supporting and improving the state’s logistics network. The NC Ports tour provides attendees with a detailed overview of the business and an up-close look at the operations that connect the state’s consumers and businesses to world markets. Through this tour of the Port of Wilmington, you will learn more about how the NC Ports team is working to proactively prepare for the future and deliver on its mission, as well as current and future infrastructure-related opportunities.
  • SAME Cape Fear Post Golf Tournament at Beau Rivage Golf & Resort to raise funds for the Education and Mentoring Scholarship funds. 
  • Welcome Social – a Summit favorite – will be held at the Embassy Suites in Wilmington.  Attendees must be registered to attend the Summit.  To RSVP for the social, please indicate your attendance on your respective registration form for the Summit.
  • Session: Selling to the Federal Government & Tools for Success in the Federal Marketplace. Representatives from the Small Business Administration, Small Business Center Network, Government Contracting Assistance Program and NC Military Business Center session will focus on infrastructure-related steps to enter the federal marketplace and resources available for support.
