Biography. Dr. Sherry Gaylor joined the North Carolina Military Business Center as a Regional Program Manager on July 15, 2025. Prior to joining NCMBC, Dr. Gaylor was actively involved in supporting the business community in North Carolina and across the country in receiving federal government contracts. Dr. Gaylor served as the Deputy Director and part-time Small Business Professional for Marine Corps Installation (MCIEast) at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC for over 15 years.

Dr. Gaylor retired from the federal government with 48 years of civil service. Dr. Gaylor’s previous positions include an assignment at Headquarters of the US Army Corps of Engineers, Washington DC and with the USACE Wilmington District heavily involved in the Small Business Programs and working with the Small Business Administration. Dr. Gaylor has remained consistent in helping industry through the federal acquisition process and assisting the MCIEast contracting office in achieving the socio-economic small business goals assigned by DoD. Additionally, Dr. Gaylor has participated in multiple outreach programs and has remained in contact with small business professional throughout the Department of Defense.

Dr. Gaylor holds two Masters Degrees and earned her PhD in Business Administration from The University Of Maryland. Dr. Gaylor resides in Hampstead , NC.
