NC Military Business Center Designates Jimmy Hendrix as Director of Regional Programs 

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C., [Date] – The North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC), headquartered at Fayetteville Technical Community College, is pleased to announce the selection of Martin J. “Jimmy” Hendrix III to serve as Director of Regional Programs, advancing from his previous role as Senior Program Manager. In this leadership position, Mr. Hendrix will oversee NCMBC’s regional program strategy, strengthen statewide partnerships, and support efforts to connect North Carolina businesses with federal contracting and economic development opportunities.  

Since joining NCMBC in January 2026, Mr. Hendrix has played a key role in supporting North Carolina businesses as a Strategic Industry Professional, specializing in the Department of Defense organic industrial base and logistics. He was named Senior Program Manager in March 2026, where he led a team in 13 offices statewide that is focused on federal business development, performance and compliance, and building relationships that help businesses access, compete for and win government contracting opportunities.

Immediately prior to joining NCMBC, Mr. Hendrix served as a Department of the Army Civilian, leading both the Operations Division and the Supply,Maintenance and Contracting Division within the U.S. Army Forces Command Logistics Directorate (G-4) at Fort Bragg. 

A retired U.S. Army Colonel with more than 25 years of active-duty service, Mr. Hendrix’s military career included leadership assignments around the world as an ordnance and multifunctional logistics officer. His final assignment was as commander of the Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center, the Army’s only vertically integrated metal manufacturing organization and home to the Army’s Center of Excellence for Advanced Manufacturing.  

Throughout his career, Mr. Hendrix has led logistics organizations and staffs throughout the United States, the Republic of Korea, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He has commanded Army formations at the company, battalion, and brigade levels and has experience supporting installation, training, combat logistics, disaster relief, and civil operations. 

Mr. Hendrix holds master’s degrees in National Security and Strategy from both the U.S. Naval War College and the U.S. Army War College. A Fayetteville native and graduate of Appalachian State University, he resides in Moore County, North Carolina, with his family.  

As Director of Regional Programs, Mr. Hendrix will work closely with regional staff, government agencies, military installations, and industry partners to expand opportunities for North Carolina businesses and strengthen the state’s position in the federal marketplace.
