RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Identify, evaluate and document future and current business opportunities from targeted federal departments, agencies, services, commands and buying offices   
  • Manage NCMBC’s future opportunities database
  • Prepare white papers on contracting topics and targeted industry opportunities
  • Conduct market research
  • Data hygiene for internal database systems

Rachel Rocker joined the North Carolina Military Business Center in February 2021 serving as the Federal Research Analyst at NCMBC Headquarters in Fayetteville. 

Ms. Rocker’s responsibilities include data cleaning and management, strategic planning, CRM management and transition, among other duties. 

In May 2012, Ms. Rocker received her Master’s degree in Market Research from the University of Georgia – a program she attended on a fully funded research fellowship. During her time there she completed a research project from the Michelin Corporation United States Headquarters based in Greenville, South Carolina. She graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Decision Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While completing her undergraduate work she worked for several years in the UNC Student Health Information Services Department. 

Ms. Rocker’s previous work experience includes working at a San Francisco Bay area based digital advertising tech start up as the marketing and database management director and as a business analyst for a global performance marketing company based in the Washington D.C. area. Ms. Rocker is also an active supporter of military spouses through SFRG groups at Ft Bragg and is a recipient of the Order St. Joan D’Arc Medallion for her service to the spouses and soldiers in a cavalry unit.
