As the U.S. works to modernize its defense capabilities, the need for a strong, skilled workforce has never been clearer. This discus sion will explore how workforce readiness and talent pipelines shape the nation’s ability to meet the defense imperative—and what it will take to ensure the people behind the technology are ready to deliver.

This session will examine:

  • Workforce Readiness Today: How talent shortages in engineering, production, and logistics affect national security.

  • Cross-Sector Collaboration: How industry, government, and education partners can align to grow the next generation of cleared and skilled talent.

This joint CSIS–NIICA session brings together experts from industry, government, and education to discuss actionable ideas for strengthening the workforce behind America’s defense and industrial capacity.
