BIOGRAPHY. Katharine Lopez joined the North Carolina Military Business Center in August 2026 serving as the Administrative Assistant at NCMBC Headquarters in Fayetteville. In this role, Ms. Lopez assists with purchase orders, travel requests, property control equipment inventory, ordering supplies, and print shop requests, as well as assist the Executive Director and Director of Operations in the planning and organization of activities of NCMBC.

Ms. Lopez holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Prior to joining the team, Ms. Lopez brings in experience working for the Department of Defense as a federal contractor and civilian employee. She has experience working in finance, human resources, and military personnel division, and has had the opportunity to work in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Japan.
