• Featured Presentation: Rick Satcher, Commercialization and Service Provider Member Relations Director for Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC). MTEC is a DoD-focused nonprofit that funds medical technology development. It operates under a government-awarded Other Transaction Agreement (OTA)—a flexible contracting vehicle that enables faster execution, broader collaboration, and engagement with a diverse range of innovators. MTEC drives military-civilian partnerships and fosters collaboration within an extensive ecosystem of small and large businesses, federal agencies, academic institutions, and other stakeholders. Funding is rapidly deployed to advance innovative medical technologies that improve military and civilian health worldwide.
• Business Spotlight: Emily Wilburn Andrews, CEO of Wilburn Medical Supply. Wilburn Medical Inc. was founded in 1997 by Rick Wilburn to provide “Point of Care” testing equipment and supplies to Physicians, Clinics, Hospitals and Wellness Facilities. Rick’s goal was to “exceed customer expectations.” Wilburn Medical grew quickly and became an important supplier to healthcare organizations. In 2002 Wilburn Medical’s web presence grew into our first “E-Commerce” site. That site has become WilburnMedicalUSA.com with over 90,000+ items from over 500+ manufacturers.
