Join the North Carolina Military Business Center for our quarterly industry-related forums that spotlight key federal opportunities and strengthen connections across North Carolina’s federal and defense contracting ecosystem. Each industry-specific quarterly session will connect businesses, government agencies, and prime contractors to discuss:

  • Upcoming contracting opportunities and capability gaps
  • Market and policy trends shaping the industry
  • Success stories and lessons learned from peers
  • Strategies for growth in the federal marketplace

These forums are part of our year-round commitment to industry engagement, building momentum towards major annual industry events like FEDTEX, DISC, MBB, FTS and the Summit ensuring that businesses stay connected and competitive in a rapidly evolving federal and defense landscape.

  • Featured Presentation: Josh Israel, Assistant CPE for Technology, Engineering, and Capability Integration, JPM CBRN Protection, CPE CBRND,Capability Program Executive for CBRN Defense (CPE CBRND). The CPE CBRND protects the Joint Force through advanced development of CBRN defense capabilities for operations in CBRN contested environments. CPE CBRND is comprised of Joint Project Managers overseeing portfolio areas including CBRN Protection, CBRN Medical, CBRN Sensors, and CBRN Special Operations Forces, supported by Joint Project Leads focused on enabling biotechnologies and integration. CPE CBRND will share an overview of the mission space, current priorities and practical ways industry can align to capability needs and engagement pathways.
  • Business Spotlight: James G. Spivey, SOF Program Manager, Zota Group, LLC. Zota Group is a U.S. DoD and USSOCOM oriented accelerator focused on helping companies penetrate the U.S. defense market, with an emphasis on USSOCOM as an early adopter of new technologies and transition pathways to broader service adoption. James will share perspective on positioning capabilities for SOF demand signals, strengthening relationships across government and primes, and translating innovative solutions into mission ready delivery.
